How Global Youth Forum eradicates poverty

MOULDING4WORK

50 Students from marginalised communities join our one-year scholarship program comprised of eight units.

Slide3Each unit has three phases: pre-training challenge, student-centred training, and post-training challenge. Students complete phase one of the programme within the first eight months before proceeding to a  three months industry experiential learning through internships, apprenticeships, volunteering, or industrial attachments opportunities. These opportunities could include volunteering positions with GYF.

The programme ensures 85% of the programme graduates secure a job within 6 months upon graduation. Students are attached to mentors and coaches who coach and guide them throughout their job hunt or in supporting them in turning their passions into enterprise.

Passion Project

To complete the program, students undertake a passion project of their choice that addresses one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as outlined by the United Nations, or intern at one of our partners organisations where they put the skills they have gained through phase one of the programme into practice.

SPORTS4SDGS

Slide4GYF provides an inclusive global sporting platform to enable collaborations between likeminded higher learning institutions, organisations, companies, communities and individuals; using 17 sports (Applying #Football4Peace Model) to develop and advocate for a project to address each of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Using each of the sports as a tool to mobilize resources to implement the SDG project.

The initiative ensures every sport has the opportunity of being included and that anyone passionate about any sport and a particular SDG can contribute towards the UN Sustainable Development agenda.

Utilizing the Moulding4Work students and their Passion Project, GYF can lead in the initialisation and delivery of any Project or Programme in this area.

ARCHERY4THEGOALS
